ACUPUNCTURE

In the UK, acupuncture for animals is an act of Veterinary Surgery and can only legally be performed by Veterinary Surgeons.  It involves the use of very fine sterile needles inserted into specific areas of the body.

Acupuncture can be useful in the management of chronic pain by increasing the body's release of natural painkillers.
